Kelsea Ballerini Reveals the Message She Slid Into Chase Stokes' DMs With in Sweet Birthday Post

Kelsea Ballerini is revisiting the very start of her relationship with Chase Stokes on his birthday.

The 30-year-old country star hopped on Instagram on Saturday (September 16) to wish the 31-year-old Outer Banks star a happy day.

She paired the message with a bunch of photos and videos charting the course of their relationship.

Kelsea even included a screenshot of their very first communication, which happened when she slid into his DMs last December.

Earlier this year, Kelsea explained that she reached out to Chase via Instagram.

“I was just like… I’m not going to get on the apps,” she said about dating after her split from Morgan Evans while on the Call Her Daddy podcast. “And [Chase] shoots [Outer Banks] in Charleston and my manager lives there. He put the bug in my ear. He’s like, ‘You know who’s really cute when you’re ready…’ and I’m like, ‘You’re so right!’ I’ve never seen the show but I knew of him. I followed him, he followed me and I swan dove right in.”

She ended Chase‘s birthday post with their first communication, which took place on December 1, 2022 at 1:07am. “Hii chase stokes,” Kelsea wrote. Just a little over two hours later the actor responded.
