Demi Lovato Says Boyfriend Jutes Helped Her Heal 'Daddy Issues,' Reveals If They've Talked Kids

Demi Lovato provided fans with an inside glimpse at her relationship with boyfriend Jutes and how he helped her let go of “daddy issues.”

The 31-year-old Revamped rocker was first publicly linked to the musician in August 2022, but they’ve been dating for a bit longer than that.

In a recent interview, Demi provided an update on how they got together and what the relationship’s meant for her. They even revealed where the duo stands on getting married and having kids.

Do Demi Lovato and Jutes want to get married and have kids?

“I’m in an amazing relationship. My boyfriend is a year older than me, and we’re growing together and it feels so healthy,” Demi explained on The Howard Stern Show, noting that she “had a phase of dating older men and dating older guys because of my daddy issues.”

She continued saying, “Now I’m in a place where I’m in an amazing relationship and my boyfriend is a year older than me, and we’re growing together. It feels so healthy.”

“I can say with confidence that my daddy issues aren’t anything that are inside of me anymore,” Demi added, via Billboard. “I think there’s a few signs to that. I’m with a partner that is my age, essentially. I look back on the past [of dating older men] and think ‘that’s gross.’”

Demi also explained how the couple met in the recording studio and started as friends. However, they felt an instant attraction to him, and they built a “foundation of friendship” before getting romantic.

What about marriage? “We’ve talked about it,” Demi said. “We’re taking our time with it a little bit, you know? I think it’s important not to rush that.” That being said, it’s so serious that the couple “definitely” wants to have children.
