Michael McGrath Dead - Tony-Winning Broadway Actor Dies at 65

Michael McGrath, a veteran stage actor with 15 Broadway credits to his name, has sadly passed away at the age of 65.

The Tony-winning actor died at his New Jersey home on Thursday (September 14), his publicist confirmed to Variety.

The death was described as “sudden,” but a cause of death has not been publicly disclosed as of this time.

Michael made his Broadway debut in 1992 in the musical My Favorite Year and went on to star in numerous productions, winning a Tony Award for his work in the 2012 show Nice Work If You Can Get It. He was also nominated for originating the role of Patsy in the Broadway production of Spamalot.

You might also recognize Michael from his work in movies like Changing Lanes and The Interpreter, or from appearing on The Martin Short Show.
