Darren Hayes is opening up about homophobia that he faced in the music industry.
The Savage Garden frontman is the voice behind classic, late ’90s hits such as “I Knew I Loved You.” He also launched a solo career after he and former partner Daniel Jones went their separate ways.
However, he told People that he was never treated the way that out stars like Lil Nas X are today.
