Hilarie Burton, Bethany Joy Lenz and Sophia Bush did something clever for One Tree Hill‘s 20th anniversary.

The trio of actresses, who played Peyton, Haley and Brooke on the hit WB/CW series, chose to still acknowledge the important date, but as the strikes are still ongoing, found a way to toast the show, without toasting the show.

Instead, they chose to celebrate “female friendships” that came out of it.

Alongside a few images of them together, Sophia wrote that she was “not gonna mention the job that’s turning 20 today while our union is on strike.”

“So instead I’ll celebrate 20 years of female friendships being the ultimate love stories and the reclamation of our good, bad, ugly, and beautiful through @dramaqueensoth,” she added. “Thank you to our #fanfam who have encouraged us to find and use our voices onscreen and off. #Lucky23 #20years.”

In a reply to her post, Hilarie wrote, “Hey. We made it. Love you.”

Bethany also chose to celebrate the show without a mention of the name, and shared throwback images from filming.

“20 years of SOMETHING magical 🐦‍⬛🏀 This will always be my family. Thank you to everyone who made it possible 🙏” she captioned the post on Instagram.

A diverse group of stars stepped out to attend the 2023 Global Citizen Festival on Saturday (September 23) in New York City.

Anitta, Jungkook, Lauryn Hill, Sofia Carson and more stars took the stage to perform in Central Park during the annual event.

The BTS hitmaker even shared the stage with his “Seven” collaborator Latto, who performed in an eye catching nude bodysuit with cleverly placed silver leaves covering her chest.

Held at the Rainbow Room on Friday (September 8) in New York City, the two actresses were joined by a ton of other stars including The White Lotus‘ Alexandra Daddario, Caylee Cowan, Dove Cameron, Emily Ratajkowski, Sophie Sumner, Sophia Bush, Ziwe, Katie Cassidy, La La Anthony and Alan Cumming.

The divorce docs reveal they split on June 27, 2023, just 16 days after their anniversary on June 11.

The legal documents also show that Sophia asked for neither her or Grant to be awarded spousal support as they signed a pre-nup.

The Blast revealed that the docs state, “The exact nature and extent of the separate property assets and debts of the parties is unknown at this time. However, each party shall be awarded his/her respective separate property assets and debts pursuant to the terms of the agreement signed by the parties prior to their marriage.”

Sophia Bush and husband Grant Hughes are calling it quits.

On Friday (August 4), the 41-year-old One Tree Hill actress filed for divorce from Grant after 13 months of marriage.

“Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service,” a source close to Sophia and Grant shared with People.

“They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends,” the source added.

Sophia and Grant got married on June 11, 2022 in his home state of Oklahoma.

She just recently celebrated their wedding anniversary, writing in a now-deleted Instagram post, “Today marks 365 days of calling you ‘husband.’ Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favorite. Happy Anniversary 🤍.”

Sophia was previously married to One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray in 2005, but they split five months later.

Late last month, it was announced that Sophia was ending her run in the play 2:22 on London’s West End earlier than expected.

The trio of friends, who all starred on the series and have launched a re-watch podcast together, came to fans about switching to DVDs amid the SAG-AFTRA, and WGA strike.

“Now we are no strangers to pushing back against imbalances and abuses of power — it is the very basis of our podcast here,” Hilarie said as they were talking about the strike’s effect. “We’re reclaiming a really pivotal chapter in our lives.”

Sophia then added that because of the strike, they’re in talks to see if they can even continue the podcast. Part of the strike terms prohibits members from promoting not just current, but past projects as well. That being said, those doing podcasts, are in limbo as they have contracts with their hosts as well.

“We’re in full support of the strike as well as the writer’s strike, and we’ve checked in personally with multiple representatives and have had our teams do the same so that we maintain an active line of communication,” she shared.

Bethany then chimed in, saying that at the moment they “have been given the green light to honor our iHeart contract — but we are taking this walk down memory lane in an old school way and encourage you to do the same. Bust out those DVDs, OK? We’ve signed thousands of box sets, so we know you have them. Get together with friends and have watch parties like we did back in the day.”

“This community has always been supportive and proactive whenever we’ve been in a tough spot and this moment is no exception,” Hilarie added. “We are grateful to you and encourage all of you to post your pictures with your box sets and use those hashtags #SAGAFTRAStrong and #WGAStrong, and we’re gonna post your pictures in our feed.”

Sophia explained that she and most of the rest of the cast were “hit with a virus” last month, and while many had recovered, she had not.

“I’m gutted that it’s come to an end,” she wrote in her caption. “After weeks of being intermittently pulled off stage & visiting multiple doctors, specialists, & an all nighter in the ER, I’ve been advised by my medical team in London & America to stop performing in order to get this under control & to do so in the country where I reside under the care of my own doctors.”

Sophia continued on, writing that she was “crushed to not be able to finish my run, to have to leave my incredible cast mates & company & to miss the nights on stage with our audiences.”

“It’s been a pleasure to perform for you all on your most special occasions,” she told her fans. “I’ve loved reading your messages about birthdays & anniversaries spent with us & I wish I could do more. I’m not one who ever leaves early. It’s devastating to say goodbye to an experience that’s been so incredibly fulfilling, both artistically & personally. Being a part of this company put me back in my body and in my soul. I was reminded, on a cellular level, of why I do this job & how much I love acting. I crossed an ocean to come home to myself.”

She also gave a shout out to her cast mates, “@jaimewinstone @rickychamp2 @cliffordsamuel you are alchemists, healers, confidants, & just the most fun & talented people I know. It’s been a privilege. I feel the same about Andie, Philip, Tan, Lottie, James, and every other member of our incredible company who became fast family. You all have been so supportive through this. I will never be able to express enough gratitude for your care. From ensuring I made it through shows once things got dicey with everything from medicine to flat sodas hidden backstage — even packing my feverish body in ice packs from head to toe on more than one night — you made it less terrifying to be struggling thousands of miles from my home & my family…”

“To all of the fans who came along, thank you. You made my Lauren journey feel like a party. A wild, joyous, invigorating rush, night after night. I loved making you scream, and making you laugh, and hearing your stories at the stage door. It means the world to me that so many of you traveled to see the show. If you’re booked for future nights, please go support my incredible costars. They will blow you away! I know Frankie Bridge will be incredible through the rest of this run,” Sophia continued.

She then added on a hopeful note, “I’m sad. Happy. Immensely grateful. There is no greater creative experience than the stage. I miss it madly. I love it deeply. I cannot wait for the next one ♥️.”

Sophia Bush starred in the NBC series Chicago PD for the first four seasons, but left due to alleged misconduct on set.

In a new interview on her Drama Queens podcast, which she hosts with former One Tree Hill co-stars Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz, she discussed what happened on set, why she was told to stay silent, and how the misconduct was covered up.

The actresses have been vocal on the podcast about the alleged abuse they suffered from One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn.

“There’s this fear that we’re going to walk onto a set one day and be confronted with that,” Hilarie said. “I am making the commitment to keep talking about it so that other showrunners don’t operate that way and so that he’s got no safe passage.”

Rachel McAdams rocks a bold red cutout dress for the premiere of her newest movie, Are You There God It’s Me, Margaret, held at the Regency Village Theatre over the weekend in Los Angeles.

The 44-year-old actress met up with her co-stars Abby Ryder Fortson, Amari Price, Jecobi Swain, Aidan Wojtak-Hissong, Isol Young, Simms May, Kate MacCluggage, Elle Graham, and author Judy Blume for the event.

“Coming to this as a mom was very different for me,” Rachel shared about the film in a recent interview.

She told ET, “To see through those eyes, you just remind yourself of what it was to be that age, and how hard it was. Sophia Bush has opened up about what possibly could be the worst fan encounter ever.

The 40-year-old former One Tree Hill actress and activist spoke to Penn Badgley, Sophie Ansari, and Nava Kavelin on Podcrushed, the Stitcher Studios podcast about the encounter, where an aggressive fan told her she was a “TV prostitute”.

Sophia revealed that the encounter happened after she noticed a man at a bar she was at, who wouldn’t stop recording her every move.

“I’m not a zoo animal,” she said, before she went over to him to ask the man to stop recording.

“I say, ‘Hi, I’m a person. I’d like to shake your hand. My name is Sophia. You’re making me really uncomfortable, man. I’ve asked you to stop. I’m a girl in a bar. You are a man I do not know. I don’t wanna be videoed on your phone. And my friends don’t either. Can you please stop?’” she recalled.

However, Sophia said that his response was not the one she was expecting.

“‘I don’t have to stop. You’re in public,’” he apparently told her. “I said, ‘Okay, but is there no world in which you can understand that you are making me feel like a piece of meat, like I’m not human?’ And he goes, ‘I watch your show, so I pay your f***ing salary. You are a piece of meat to me.’ And I just went, ‘What?’”

Sophia then asked him if he realized the way he was speaking to her, and he replied, “‘You’re just a TV prostitute.’”

In the same interview, Sophia spoke about how celebrities are perceived and treated by fans, and how they aren’t there just to be nice.

“I just don’t know what we’re doing here if we’re not figuring out how to be here together in a better way,” she shared. “I just don’t know how we go quietly. So I’d much rather people say, ‘God, she has a lot to say,’ or ‘She is a pain in the a–,’ than ‘She seems nice.’ I don’t wanna be nice. I wanna be here with you, with us, for real, because we don’t get to be here for that long in the grand scheme of things.”

Just recently, Sophia and her OTH co-stars Hilarie Burton Morgan and Bethany Joy Lenz revealed a surprising fact about their Maxim shoot.

Hilarie Burton is opening up about allegedly being assaulted by One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn and how her co-star Chad Michael Murray stepped in after he saw it happen.

The 40-year-old actress talked about the experience on the latest episode of the Drama Queens podcast, which she hosts with former co-stars Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy Lenz.

The trio talked about season four episode “It Gets Worse at Night” during the new episode and Hilarie says the alleged assault happened while filming this episode. The cast traveled to Texas to film at a local high school that won a contest to have the show filmed there.

Hilarie said, “The flight back from that is when he assaulted me. He assaulted me again in the car on the drive from Raleigh to Wilmington, He went straight to set and he told Danneel [Ackles] that he and I made out the whole time, and it was fun, and he was trying to make her jealous. So, she confronted me about it and was like, ‘What are you doing?’ And I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’ So, then we had to go on this trip with him. And this was really, like, the last three months where my blood was boiling. I didn’t know how to process it anymore and you can see it in the episode. You can see that I’m not there… I look like shit, I’m not connecting in anyway.”

Bethany asked Hilarie why she didn’t report the assault at the time.

“Oh, I did. I told all sorts of people. Honey, I told everybody,” she said. “Chad [Michael Murray] walked up and goes, ‘What are you doing?’ He said that to our boss in the bar. He watched our boss grab me in front of a lot of people, and you know, Chad didn’t have anything to lose because he knew our boss hated him anyway. A lot of people had a lot to lose, so you don’t speak up when you have a lot to lose. But [our boss] felt so comfortable that that was not something that he had a problem with. [He thought], ‘I can do whatever I want to her in public with her boyfriend standing there.’”

Sophia, who was married to Chad from 2005 to 2006, said, “He had the most power, so he could come up and shove our boss off you and get in a fight. And I’m glad that he did. I want everybody to follow that lead. Thank God, Hilarie, that you had that moment with Chad, who was already so at odds with our boss.”

Mark Schwahn was not named in the podcast, but outlets like People and Variety have listed his name. He is pictured below with Sophia.

Back in 2017, Hilarie and Sophia both spoke out in support of women who claimed they were sexually harassed by Mark.

Maxim was allegedly part of an effort to bring in male viewers, including having the women in their underwear more and introducing an abusive male character, Matt Barr‘s “Psycho Derek.”

“I know they weren’t trying to solicit basement bullies on the internet, but they saw that a lot of young men were drawn to a violent assault of women and they went, ‘We should do more of that.’ Not, ‘Uh-oh, hold the phone.’ They were like, ‘Maybe we should do more! Maybe we should make the girls do Maxim and tell them they’ll get fired if they don’t,’” Sophia said, via Variety.

“Because Brooke had been so sexualized on the whole idea of this ‘Hometown Hottie’ and Rachel’s storyline, I was like, ‘Look, if the girls want to do it, that’s great. I don’t. I have gone to battle trying to make Brooke less of this thing that you guys tried to force me into. I don’t want to do it.’ I literally got told, ‘If you do not go and shoot this cover with your co-stars, we will guarantee you that you will never be let out for a press day, a movie, an event, any of your charities. We will keep you here for ever.’”

Hilarie said she got brought into the production office while creator Mark told them, “Look, all the other shows have been on the cover of every single magazine, and no one wants you guys. No one wants you, and you finally have someone that wants you, and you’re really gonna turn your nose up at that?”

“It was very much a, ‘No one else wants you, the studio wants to cancel your show,’” she went on to say.

“You don’t start to generate some buzz and attract these male numbers, we’re dead and all your friends are going to lose their jobs.’”

“At that time, I said, ‘No I don’t want to do this,’ and I was told I had to,” Sophie said.

“It was such a profound threat and a threat to being able to — honestly, even to have the ability to escape for a weekend, a place that at this stage, this season, I was leaving every chance I got. I would come into work, do my [scenes] and I wanted out. I wanted to go home, I wanted to be with my family. I wanted to be with my friends. I did not want to be on our set, it was not a safe place for me. This was such a threat to safety.”

Bethany Joy Lenz revealed that she was told her co-stars were shooting Maxim and had “replaced” her with Danneel.

“They told me that they didn’t come to me because I was too fat. I wasn’t a hot girl on the show anymore,” she said.

“When I said I don’t want to do it, I was like, ‘But Joy’s not doing it! She said no. Why does she get to say no?’ They go, ‘Well she said no, so you have to say yes. She said no first.’ They scapegoated you to tell the three of us we couldn’t say no… We weren’t mad at you but we were pissed about it,” Sophia recalled, remembering that she was told Joy didn’t want to do it.

Joy also recalled being treated differently after: “I started getting treated like, ‘Just put Joy in the category of middle-age mom. We’re gonna do the sexy stuff with everybody else. There’s nothing interesting about Joy anymore because she’s married’ and apparently, they thought I was fat and boring. That was it. I got kind of replaced with Danneel — who I love. It was so weird.”

JoJo Siwa went all out for the Elton John Live event tonight (November 20) in LA!

The 19-year-old entertainer hit the yellow brick road carpet at Dodger Stadium in an orange and red feathered costume, reminiscent of one of Elton‘s past costumes he wore on his tours.

JoJo was joined by a slew of other celebrities at the event, including Dua Lipa, Jenna Dewan and Steve Kazee, Heidi Klum, Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance, Dita Von Teese, John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh, Sophia Bush, Christopher Lloyd, Karamo Brown and Carlos Medel, and Connie Britton.

Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton, Raven Symone and her wife Miranda Maday, Top Gun: Maverick‘s Miles Teller, Abbott Elementary‘s Lisa Ann Walter, Xochitl Gomez, Jordan Rodrigues, Reed Horstmann, Matt Cornett, Brandi Carlile, Sara Gilbert, Lucy Hale, Bradley Whitford, and Ariel Martin were also there.

Kirsten Dunst also made a rare appearance at the concert event with her mom, Inez Rupprecht.

A bunch of celebs were in attendance at a wedding in Italy this week!

Julianne Hough, Aaron Paul, and Sophia Bush were among the stars who attended the nuptials of Samantha Marquart and Thomas Dutton on Tuesday (October 4) in Venice, Italy.

The wedding guests were spotted arriving in taxi boats for the special event at the Madonna dell’Orto Church.

Aaron and his wife Lauren Parsekian were both in the wedding party and their four-year-old daughter Story (not pictured) appeared to be the flower girl!

Sophia, who was one of the bridesmaids, was joined at the event by her new husband Grant Hughes. Also seen at the wedding were Pussycat Dolls star Jessica Sutta and author Jedidiah Jenkins.

“Heart exploding all over again,” Sophia commented on Samantha‘s Instagram photo from the wedding.

For the event, Sophia, 40, sported a black pinstriped suit with gold strappy heels while Bethany, 41, donned a metallic gold dress, and Hilarie, 40, wore a sparkling, red and silver suit.

If you didn’t know, Sophia, Bethany, and Hilarie co-host the Drama Queens podcast. In a recent episode, Sophia talked about having to continue working with Chad Michael Murray after they ended their marriage.

Aaron Paul turned 43 this week and he hosted a star-studded birthday party to celebrate!

The Breaking Bad actor was joined by wife Lauren Parsekian and a bunch of their celeb friends for a party at Fleur Room on Wednesday night (August 31) in West Hollywood, Calif.

Ahead of the party, Aaron and some friends had dinner at LAVO Ristorante.
