Britney Spears has had a complicated relationship with her family since she was freed from her conservatorship. However, it looks like she’s making inroads toward mending some of the damaged bonds.

Several sources told The Messenger that the 41-year-old “Toxic” Princess of Pop has been in contact with certain members of her family. While things are still tense, it seems like there is the possibility for a reconciliation.

“She has felt exploited and she would like it if they took some responsibility and issued a public apology,” a source claimed. That hasn’t happened yet, but it sounds like there have been conversations about how to move forward and heal.

The report shed light on which members of the family Britney has spoken to and included information about her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she shares with ex Kevin Federline.

Britney Spears‘ father Jamie Spears is speaking out.

The 70-year-old opened up about variety of topics in what is his first major interview since his 41-year-old daughter was freed from the conservatorship that controlled her life for 13 years.

In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, he shared his side of the story and spoke about his relationship with his daughter as well as his grandsons Jayden James and Sean Preston and their father Kevin Federline, Britney‘s ex-husband.

He also made allegations pertaining to the pop star’s finances and broad statements about her mental health, claiming that she might not be alive if he hadn’t stepped in.

The interview comes after Britney has spoken quite a bit about her father. In October she said that she hoped “he burns in f-cking hell.”

Britney Spears‘ fans are not happy with what Kevin Federline posted on his Instagram account.

It all seemed to stem from Britney’s post she wrote about her kids, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, on Wednesday (August 10).

“I looked forward to seeing my kids every week … It was 2 days a week but I asked him to ask to stay for more days … maybe 3 days … but then the next week they stayed for only one day . Yeah, I know that teenagers are just hard to deal with at that age … but COME ON, there’s being rude then there’s being HATEFUL … they would visit me, walk in the door, go straight to their room and lock the door !!! The MONITOR would tell me that he just likes to be in his room … I’m like why come visit me if they don’t even visit me !!!” Britney wrote, in part.
