The Voice returns tonight (Monday, September 25) and there’s a major swivel chair shake-up…including a double chair next year!

The long-running singing reality TV competition series revealed that Season 24 and Season 25 will debut in the Fall of 2023 and Spring of 2024 respectively on NBC, and will feature a very different lineup of coaches.

There are some big changes happening with the panel of coaches in the upcoming seasons, including new faces and the first-ever double chair.

Blake Shelton became a father figure for Niall Horan when he made his debut as a coach on The Voice last year. Now all he’s left with his an evil stepmother – Gwen Stefani.

The 30-year-old joked about their relationship during an interview with Extra. More specifically, Niall called Gwen his “evil stepmother.”

She even confirmed that she “deserved” the title!

Niall jokingly bestowed Gwen with the title, explaining by saying, “She’s been mean to me.”

She didn’t deny it, either. In fact, Gwen said, “I deserve that. I’ve been really mean to him… on purpose.” She even provided an example…

“It’s funny because last season Blake never mentioned Niall one time, like never even. I didn’t even know he was on the show. It’s weird,” she said, leading Niall to joke about if he and Blake were even friends.

Don’t get it twisted, though! Gwen was quick to clarify that she was just teasing. And Niall will be missing his former co-star.

“I’m gonna miss Blake,” he said, adding, “Blake was so good to have around when I first joined, to learn the ropes and see how it all works. No one knows the show better than that man.”

Blake announced that he was leaving The Voice in early 2023, prompting Gwen to make a comeback to fill his seat. This season also welcomed country star Reba McEntire.

The longtime couple was spotted on a stroll around the neighborhood on Sunday afternoon (September 17) in Los Angeles.

Gwen wore an Anaheim Hillbillies sweatsuit with matching blue and yellow sneakers for the Sunday stroll.

Did you see that Gwen‘s eldest son Kingston Rossdale is getting into the music world? Last month he hit the stage and performed at Blake‘s bar in Oklahoma, Ole Red.

A clip of Kingston‘s performance made it to TikTok, where he joined a guitarist and keyboardist joined him on stage. “Love you guys, thank you for being here!” he told the audience at the end of his performance. “Thank you, it means everything to me, really. I hope you guys had a great night, enjoy yourselves!”

The Video Vanguard Award is the most prestigious honor a musician can take home from the MTV Video Music Awards.

It’s an honor, bestowed upon everyone from Michael and Janet Jackson to Britney Spears, Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce, that recognizes artists who have consistently delivered cutting edge and game-changing visuals.

This year’s recipient is Shakira, who fits right in with the game-changing icons who have already taken home the Moon Person. She is truly a deserving winner, but we’re already thinking about who should receive the Video Vanguard Award next year at the 2024 MTV VMAs.

Released 20 years ago, Freaky Friday is a beloved movie that started a long-lasting friendship between its stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. However, it almost looked very different!

The movie is such a hit that a sequel was commissioned earlier this year, and both Jamie and Lindsay are expected to return for it.

With renewed interest in the movie, several of its stars and others who worked on it got together with The Hollywood Reporter and opened up about some juicy behind-the-scenes secrets.

For instance, we learned that the movie almost featured two entirely different actresses in the lead roles. Additionally, a big plot point involving Gwen Stefani was going to center the script.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton hit the recording studio again to cook up another hit.

The musical couple has released a multitude of duets together since beginning their relationship years ago. On Friday (August 18), they added another one to the list when they unleashed a cover of The Judd‘s “Love Is Alive.”

Their take on the track puts a fresh spin on the song, which was first released in 1984. It’ll appear on the upcoming release A Tribute To The Judds.

Gwen takes the lead on the loved-up single and is supported by Blake‘s harmonies throughout. “Love is alive / And it grows every day and night, even in our sleep / Love is alive / And it’s made a happy woman out of me,” they coo on the romantic chorus.

Blake hopped on Instagram to hype up their new collaboration, writing, “Thrilled to be part of this tribute album with @gwenstefani. @thejuddsofficial are one of the greatest country acts of our lifetime and 80’s country music is my favorite decade… I’ve been singing these songs for as long as I can remember.”

“I have always admired The Judds, and I am so thrilled to be part of this album,” Gwen gushed in a statement shared with ET. “‘Love Is Alive’ is an iconic track and performing the song with Blake is a perfect way to honor their timeless discography.”

A Tribute To The Judds will arrive on October 27.

Speaking of the couple, Gwen‘s son Kingston Rossdale recently hopped onstage at one of Blake‘s bars earlier this week.

Blake also proposed some new lyrics for one of Gwen‘s songs earlier this summer.

The Voice is one of the biggest singing reality TV competitions in the world.

The show – which kicked off in Holland in 2010 as The Voice of Holland before debuting in America in 2011 – has since spread all around the world with a bunch of international versions, all boasting major superstars for coaches.

Over the years, plenty of talent has sat in the swivel chairs and coached the contenders all the way to the top. And one by one, all of them have eventually left the show to go on and do other things – even the last remaining original judge from the U.S. series.

Following the news of one longtime coach’s departure in 2023, we’ve rounded up all of the judges who have since departed from The Voice, along with the explanations they’ve given for why they left the show.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced the Class of 2024, consisting of 31 celebs who will be receiving stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.

“The Selection Committee which is made up of fellow Walk of Famers, carefully hand-picks a group of honorees each year that represent various genres of the entertainment world,” said Chair and Walk of Famer Ellen K. “The Committee did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!”

Hundreds of celebs were nominated and a committee selected the recipients on June 16. Dates have not been scheduled for these star ceremonies. Recipients have two years to schedule star ceremonies from the date of selection before they expire.

Pink, who also performed her own set later on, then replied, “You know our love is deep and you’re the best ever ♥️.”

Gwen Stefani might need to release a new version of her comeback single because husband Blake Shelton has some ideas for it.

The 53-year-old “Just a Girl” superstar returned after a two-year break from music with her new single “True Babe” on Friday (June 23).

That same day, her husband and The Voice alum hopped on social media to propose a couple of extra lines that he would like to see on the song. Gwen caught wind of his ideas and replied with some notes!

Taking to Twitter, Blake shared a video of himself singing his proposed new lines. Suffice to say that they likely weren’t anything Gwen had in mind while she was originally working on the track.

“Take the truck and cut up this tree, up this tree,” Blake sings while panning his camera to show a massive tree that had, indeed, fallen over and needed cleaning up.

“Playing the S-IT out of [Gwen's] new song ‘True Babe,’” He gushed. “Even writing new lyrics!!”

While his contribution might not have fit the initial vibe, Gwen was grateful nonetheless.

“Greatest rewrite ever!!! Wish I would have thought of that!!!🤣😂🤣😂 dang it I love u! Gx,” she tweeted in response.

It’s no surprise that she’s a fan. The adorable couple looked star-crossed and very much in love last time we saw them out together.

Of course, a possible duet version isn’t totally out of the question. After all, Blake and Gwen have released songs together in the past.

The No Doubt rocker just dropped her new solo song “True Babe,” her first single since 2021′s “Slow Clap” featuring Saweetie.

Gwen will be performing a series of major festivals in the U.K. and Europe this summer, so you can expect her to sing the track live very soon.

Gavin Rossdale is making some rare comments about Gwen Stefani and their opposing parenting styles.

If you don’t know, Gwen and Gavin share three sons: Kingston, 17, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 9. Gwen filed for divorce in 2015 after 13 years of marriage. Six years after filing, the divorce was officially annulled.

When asked about raising their kids, Gavin said they both “just parent.”

“I think you can go one of two ways — you can either do everything together and really co-parent, and see how that goes — or you can just parent. And I think we just parent,” he shared on the Not So Hollywood podcast.

“We’re really different people … I don’t think there’s much similarity in the way we bring them up but I think that gives them an incredible perspective to then choose which pieces of those two lives they’d like to inherit and move on with and which part of themselves come out of the whole process,” he continued.

“Because that’s what’s important is to give them a wide view of things and we definitely have some particularly opposing views so I think it’d be really helpful for them to make their own minds as individuals,” he added.

Years ago, Gwen said her split from Gavin involved a “juicy story.”

The 53-year-old “Make Me Like You” pop star showed off her distinctive sense of style, wearing a pair of white boots and jean shorts over black leggings. She pulled her hair back into two buns and finished off the look with a white jacket.

While watching the game, Gwen cozied up on Blake‘s lap. The husband and wife shared a kiss and were later seen standing side by side. They looked very in love and comfortable together.

Blake Shelton now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

The 46-year-old country singer accepted the honor during a ceremony on Friday morning (May 12) in Hollywood.

Blake was joined at the event by his wife Gwen Stefani and her three kids – Kingston, 16, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 9. See the photo in the gallery!

Also in attendance were The Voice‘s Carson Daly and former coach Adam Levine with his wife Behati Prinsloo.

“I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake,” Blake said during his acceptance speech. “I love you so much, and that’s the great thing that’s happened along this journey.”

Blake dedicated the star to his late brother Richie, who died in a car accident over 30 years ago.

“My family’s all here, by the way, from Oklahoma. I was talking to my mom this morning, and I was just thinking about what I’m gonna say when I get up here. She says to me, ‘I wish Richie could’ve been here to see this and everything that you’ve done.’ So I dedicate my star on this Walk of Fame to my brother Richie,” he said.

Some big news was just announced for Blake‘s upcoming final episode of The Voice.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton showed off how to successfully pull off coordinating looks at the 2023 CMT Music Awards held at Moody Center on Sunday (April 2) in Austin, Texas.

The cute couple hit the red carpet in matching black blazers and ties, with a few differentiating accessories. Gwen opted for a glitzy gold mini skirt and fuzzy boots while Blake stuck to his signature jeans.

Gwen will actually be making her debut on stage and will perform with Carly Pearce for what the awards are describing as a “world premiere collaboration.”

Blake is also performing at the event, and is also nominated for Video of the Year for “No Body”.

The 2023 CMT Music Awards will air on CBS, starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT and you can also stream the show, hosting by Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown, on Paramount+.

The cute couple sat beside some friends of theirs in the bleachers during the athletic event.

During a new interview on Today, Blake opened up about why he made the decision to leave The Voice after 23 seasons on the show.

“I think I was close to calling it a day right when COVID hit,” Blake shared on the program with all the coaches of the show. “And then, because of COVID, I didn’t want to walk away from the show and leave everybody in a bind. I mean, this show changed my life. I’ll stay here until the world kind of gets back to normal again.”

He added that the show has had a huge impact on his life and career.

“I met my wife on this show,” he noted. “It’s changed my life in every way it possibly can. When I came on as a coach on this show, I mean, everything in my life was turned upside down, and in a good way, you know? This has been incredible, but it’s time, you know. It’s time for what’s next. A little bit of nothing would be nice.”

Blake announced that he’d be leaving the show late last year, and it came as quite a shock to many fans.

His final season of The Voice premieres Monday, March 6. at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Following the big news of his departure, Gwen also opened up about Blake leaving the show.

“That was my Japanese influence and that was a culture that was so rich with tradition, yet so futuristic [with] so much attention to art and detail and discipline and it was fascinating to me,” she said of her Italian-American father coming home with stories of street performers when he worked at Yamaha, which led to him travelling between their home in California and Japan for 18 years.

“I said, ‘My God, I’m Japanese and I didn’t know it’…I am, you know,” she insisted.

Gwen added that there’s an “innocence” to her relationship with Japanese culture, referring to herself as a “super fan.”

“If [people are] going to criticize me for being a fan of something beautiful and sharing that, then I just think that doesn’t feel right. I think it was a beautiful time of creativity… a time of the ping-pong match between Harajuku culture and American culture. [It] should be okay to be inspired by other cultures because if we’re not allowed then that’s dividing people, right?”

The writer, senior editor Jesa Marie Calaor, went on to describe how the interview went.

“I spent 32 minutes in conversation with Stefani, many of them devoted to her lengthy answer to my question about Harajuku Lovers. In that time, she said more than once that she is Japanese. Allure’s social media associate (who is Asian and Latina) was also present for the interview and we were left questioning what we had heard. Maybe she misspoke? Again and again? During our interview, Stefani asserted twice that she was Japanese and once that she was ‘a little bit of an Orange County girl, a little bit of a Japanese girl, a little bit of an English girl.’ Surely, she didn’t mean it literally or she didn’t know what she was saying? (A representative for Stefani reached out the next day, indicating that I had misunderstood what Stefani was trying to convey. Allure later asked Stefani’s team for an on-the-record comment or clarification of these remarks and they declined to provide a statement or participate in a follow-up interview.)”

The writer later pointed out: “Stefani has often spoken about her deep love and appreciation for Japanese culture, but to Allure’s knowledge, she has not publicly expressed outrage or made any statements of support during this cycle of anti-AAPI hate. (Her representatives did not respond to Allure’s inquiries on this point.)”

Gwen Stefani is opening up about a fan who says she owes her life to climbing on stage at the singer’s concerts!

The fan was pushed onto the subway tracks and survived, recounting in a story that she owed her life to climbing on stage at Gwen‘s concerts.

The 22-year-old Brooklyn woman was randomly punched onto the subway tracks and she was able to climb back on the platform and run out of the station.

“It’s because Gwen’s called me on stage so many times,” she told Fox 5 News. “That’s why my body knew what to do.”

“So we’re doing that and trying feed everyone up and have a great time. It’s so nice because it’s the one holiday where there is no pressure of gifts,” Gavin told E!. “Christmas you’re always like, ‘Oh my god the pressure’ but this has no pressure aside from don’t screw up the cooking.”
