Olivia Rodrigo opened up in a new conversation with Phoebe Bridgers for Interview Magazine.

The 20-year-old “vampire” hitmaker looked back on her breakout single “drivers license,” a pandemic-era breakup ballad that dominated and turned the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star into a household name.

It also had the side effect of putting a spotlight on her relationship with ex Joshua Bassett and his relationship with Sabrina Carpenter as fans and critics tried to dissect the various lyrics.

With her second album on the horizon, Olivia revealed what she had learned from the song’s success and the ensuing fallout.

She also disclosed a lyric on her new album that got some pushback from listeners. Olivia even spilled on her favorite vampire movie. In the process, she revealed a feature that she is attracted to in a man!

Olivia Rodrigo‘s love life is going to be in the spotlight for the next couple months thanks to her new music, which references her exes.

The 20-year-old singer just dropped her new song “Bad Idea Right?” and it’s all about her going back to an ex when she knows it isn’t a good idea.

“‘bad idea right?’ started with us making a joke song about me hooking up with an ex-boyfriend, but then we realized we were actually onto something,” Olivia said in a statement. “We were throwing the weirdest things at the wall — in one of choruses there’s a part that sounds like an instrument in the background, but it’s me gradually screaming louder and louder.”

A multitude of celebrities made it out for Spotify’s 2023 Best New Artist Party ahead of the 2023 Grammys.

The event was hosted at the Pacific Design Center on Thursday (February 2) in West Hollywood, Calif, and the guest list was seriously stacked.

Anitta, Joshua Bassett, Madison Beer, Sabrina Carpenter, Becky G and Frankie Jonas were just a few of the celebs who walked the red carpet in striking looks.
