'Hunger Games' Fans Debate Viral Theory Involving Katniss Everdeen & President Snow's Relationship

Fans of The Hunger Games have very strong opinions regarding a theory involving Jennifer Lawrence‘s Katniss Everdeen amid renewed interest in the franchise with the impending release of The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

If you haven’t seen the movies or read the books in a while, Katniss becomes the face of a rebellion in her home country and the mortal enemy of President Snow (Donald Sutherland) after volunteering for her sister Prim (Willow Shields) to compete in the annual Hunger Games.

She then makes it clear that she’ll play by her own rules by refusing to kill Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), the other tribute from her home district.

Although it has commonly been believed that Prim was chosen by chance, leading to Katniss’ decision to volunteer for the games, some now believe that it was orchestrated by President Snow. And other fans are seeing red about the theory.
