Brad Pitt Files Lawsuit Against Ex-Wife Angelina Jolie Over Recent Business Deal

Brad Pitt has filed a lawsuit against Angelina Jolie, his ex-wife, over a business deal that she made a few months back.

The former couple purchased a controlling interest in Chateau Miraval back in 2008 and they tied the knot there in 2014. They purchased both the 35-room mansion and the vineyard on the property, which has been the source of their profitable wine business.

Brad and Angelina split in 2016 and were officially divorced in 2019, though they are still battling in court over their assets.

When the couple purchased Miraval, they reportedly made a pact to never sell off their personal interests in the company without the consent of the other.

Brad alleges in his lawsuit that Angelina sold her interests in the company in October 2021 without his knowledge and that he was owed the right to consent to the sale. The Blast reports that Brad “claims that she sold her interest with the knowledge that the new owners would seek to control the business and undermine his own investment in the company that he helped develop.”

The report also states that Brad claims “that the sale deprives him of the right to use the residence as his private home and also robs him of the ability to oversee the company that he helped create. He says that he has continued to invest millions of dollars in Miraval even after Jolie stopped, greatly increasing the value of Miraval through his own efforts.”

Brad is suing for an unspecified amount of damages and he wants the courts to declare her sale to be null and voided.

There was another legal battle over the business back in September 2021.
