The Traitors is officially back for Season 2!
Peacock’s hit competition-reality series returns early in 2024 with an all-new lineup of familiar faces from reality TV, sports and entertainment, hosted by Alan Cumming and his dog Lala, who is being introduced as his trusty sidekick.
After rumors swirled about casting, the network confirmed the reality TV star-studded cast list on Thursday (September 21).
Here’s a plot summary: set in a remote castle deep in the Scottish Highlands, five-time Emmy-nominated Alan Cumming plays host to 21 larger-than-life personalities who come together to compete in a series of challenges with the objective of earning a cash prize of up to $250,000. The catch? The contestants coined “the Traitors” will devise a plan to steal the prize from the other contestants coined “the Faithful.”
All 21 contestants participating in Season 2 are entertainment’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces.

Season 1 of the reality TV series, based on the Dutch series De Verraders, was hosted by Alan Cumming, and aired on Peacock in early 2023. In February 2023, the series was renewed for a second season.
The show features a group of contestants hailing from reality TV, participating in a game similar to the party game Mafia, where a group of contestants become the “Traitors,” and work together to eliminate the other contestants in order to win the grand prize. The remaining contestants become “Faithfuls” and must discover the Traitors by voting them out in order to win the grand prize.
According to reports online, the show has begun filming for Season 2, and there are several reality TV names attached to the production, hailing from shows like Big Brother, Real Housewives and Real World. And already, two names have been confirmed so far!

A new study has revealed which streaming service cancels TV series at the highest rate.
Variety Intelligence Platform (VIP+) and Luminate have collaborated on a new data exploration designed to determine how frequently the leading U.S.-based streaming and linear programmers have cancelled TV shows over the past three years.
The new report, titled “The Show Must Go Off”, was released on Thursday morning (September 14) and offers new insight into the rate at which major streamers cancel series.
