'Mean Girls' Musical Movie Starring Renee Rapp & More Headed to Theaters Instead of Paramount+

The Mean Girls musical movie will be coming the a theater near you instead of premiering on Paramount+ as initially planned. How grool is that?!

The musical retelling of the hit movie stars Renee Rapp as Regina George, the ruler of the popular group known as the Plastics, and Angourie Rice as Cady Heron, who was once played by Lindsay Lohan.

Deadline confirmed that the movie was getting a theatrical release and revealed a premiere date.

'Mean Girls' Movie Musical Cast: 10 Actors Revealed, Including Two Stars From Original Movie!

The cast of the upcoming Mean Girls: The Musical movie is shaping up and there are now 10 actors announced for the Paramount+ film.

The teen cast of the movie was rounded out a few days ago and now two original stars from the 2004 movie have joined the lineup as well.

The musical film is based on the hit Broadway show from a few years ago. Tina Fey is returning as the writer of the movie musical and she will produce the film for Paramount. She received a Tony Award nomination for writing the musical’s book and her husband Jeff Richmond co-wrote the music.

The 2004 movie version of Mean Girls, which starred Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, was a hit at the box office and became a cult phenomenon.

Here is the synopsis: “Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.”

Hulu Announces 'Love, Victor' to End with Season 3, Sets Final Season Premiere Date

Love, Victor was renewed for a third season back in June of 2021, but now, Hulu just announced that sadly, it will be the last season of the hit show.

By the end of season two, Victor (Michael Cimino) is in a romantic entanglement with his on-and-off boyfriend Benji (George Sear) and his new friend Rahim (Anthony Keyvan). He realizes that he’s in love with one of them and goes to his door to tell him… but we don’t know whose doorbell he rang!

Hulu Renews 'Love, Victor' for a Third Season, Michael Cimino Teases That Huge Cliffhanger

Exciting news for fans of Love, Victor – the show has been renewed for a third season!

'Love, Victor' Season 2 Trailer Debuts - Watch!

The second season of Love, Victor is coming!

Season 2 of the Hulu original series is set to arrive on June 11, and the trailer for the upcoming season just premiered on Thursday (May 20).

Here’s a plot summary: “The popular teen dramedy returns as season two finds a newly out of the closet Victor entering his junior year at Creekwood High. But being out brings with it new challenges, as Victor faces a family struggling with his revelation, a heartbroken ex-girlfriend in Mia, and the difficulties of being an openly gay star athlete — all while navigating the excitement of his relationship with Benji.”

The series stars Michael Cimino, Rachel Hilson, Anthony Turpel, Bebe Wood, Mason Gooding, George Sear, Isabella Ferreira, Mateo Fernandez, James Martinez and Ana Ortiz.

'Annabelle Comes Home' Star Michael Cimino To Star in Disney Plus's 'Love Simon' Series

Michael Cimino has signed on to star in the lead role of Disney Plus’s Love, Simon series.

The Annabelle Comes Home actor will play Victor, a new student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city, and struggling with his sexual orientation.

When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate the ups and downs of high school, Variety reports.

Michael joins Ana Ortiz, who will play Victor’s mother Isabel, and original movie star Nick Robinson, who will narrate the half-hour series in addition to serving as producer.

Other young stars joining the series include: James Martinez as Armando, Victor’s regular blue collar “guy’s guy” father who loves his family deeply and works hard for his family; Isabella Ferreira as Pilar, Victor’s sullen younger sister in the throws of teenage angst, and Mateo Fernandez will make his acting debut as Adrian, Victor’s adorable, good-natured little brother.

Johnny Sequoyah as Mia, Victor’s whip-smart friend with a quick wit and easy laugh; Bebe Wood as Lake, Mia’s quirky and social media-obsessed best friend; George Sear as Benji, Victor’s confident and charming classmate; Anthony Turpel as Felix, Victor’s lanky, awkward new neighbor; and Mason Gooding as Andrew, Creekwood’s cocky and popular basketball-loving jock have also joined the series.

The series is set to begin production this month in Los Angeles.
