Gisele Bundchen opened up about her mental health in a new interview.

The 43-year-old supermodel sat for a conversation with CBS News Sunday Morning that airs on September 24.

In a snippet that was released ahead of the premiere, Gisele discussed her experience suffering panic attacks. She revealed what they felt like and when they’d strike her.

According to CBS, Gisele‘s work caused her stress and anxiety, which resulted in her panic attacks.

“You know, I was in tunnels. I couldn’t breathe. And then I started being in studios, and I felt, like, suffocated,” she recalled.

Gisele continued, saying, “I lived on the 9th floor, and I had to go up the stairs because I was afraid I would be stuck on the elevator, and I’d be hyperventilating. … You know when you can’t breathe even when the windows are open, you feel like, I don’t want to live like this, you know what I mean?”

The model said that she thought about committing suicide by jumping “for, like, a second.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Gisele discussed her divorce from Tom Brady and how it felt to be moving on.

“I think it’s not what I dreamed of and what I hoped for. My parents have been married for 50 years, and I really wanted that to happen,” Gisele said. “But I think you have to accept you know sometimes that the way you are in your 20s, it’s sometimes you grow together, sometimes you grow apart.”

Gisele and Tom share two children: their son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10. Although affirming that she’s in a “different place” since their divorce, she expressed her appreciation for the role Tom has served in her life.

“He’s the father of my kids,” she said. “So I always wish him the best, and I’m so grateful that he gave me wonderful children.”

Gisele is now focusing on herself, as she has led a Louis Vuitton campaign, returned to Victoria’s Secret, and attended the Met Gala solo, all in 2023.

“I think before I was more surviving, and now I’m living, which is different,” she said.

“I’m feeling so much better at 43 than at 23,” Gisele shared, according to People. “It’s amazing. I feel so much better — 40s are amazing.”

Gisele said that’s “excited” to be working with Gaia Herbs as their new wellness ambassador since she has been using their supplements for decades.

“When I went to visit Gaia Herbs’ farm, it was incredible because I felt really good about the choices I’ve been making,” Gisele explained. “I was like, ‘Good! I haven’t been intoxicating myself for the last 20 years, I feel better about myself.’ Imagine if I wasn’t, it would’ve been a problem. I would’ve noticed when I’m like 50 or 60.’”

Also during the panel, Gisele talked about how “intense” she is when it comes to her wellness routine, which is different from how she took care of herself when she was younger.

“I meditate everyday, I exercise every day,” Gisele shared. “I’m just so grateful I have this body, I truly am. Now I’ve learned — because I wasn’t so good in my 20s or my teens — I realized my body is my temple and I really want to enjoy it. So for me, moving my body is huge.”

“This is why I wake up at 5 a.m. This is why I’ve meditated for over 20 years. And when I don’t, I feel a huge difference,” Gisele added. “I haven’t drank alcohol in over two years and it’s amazing how much more clear [I feel].”

On Tuesday (August 22), the 43-year-old supermodel took to Instagram to share some cute photos with Jack along with a heartfelt message in honor of his 16th birthday.
