Peter Sarsgaard and Cailee Spaeny were among the winners at the 2023 Venice Film Festival!

The 52-year-old actor and the 25-year-old actress attended the closing ceremony of the film festival on Saturday (September 9) in Venice, Italy.

During the ceremony, Peter won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor for his role in Memory, while Cailee won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress for her role in Priscilla.

Director Yorgos Lanthimos won the Golden Lion for Best Film for his movie Poor Things.

Maggie Gyllenhaal attended the ceremony to support husband Peter while La La Land director Damien Chazelle, Memory director Michel Franco, The Power of The Dog director Jane Campion, and The Banshees of Inisherin director Martin McDonagh were also in attendance.

Jacob Elordi towers over Cailee Spaeny at the premiere of Priscilla during the 2023 Venice Film Festival.

The two stars met up with their director, Sofia Coppola, as well as Priscilla Presley on the red carpet on Monday (September 4).

The four walked the red carpet together just a few hours after speaking to reporters about the movie during a press conference and photo call.

“It’s very difficult to sit and watch a film about you and about your life and about your love,” Priscilla admitted during the morning event (via Deadline). “Sofia did an amazing job, she did her homework… And I really put everything out for her that I could.”

Cailee also called playing the part of a young Priscilla very “daunting.”

“I got very lucky to have some time with Priscilla. She was very generous with her time and very kind to me and supportive,” she added.

Jacob also got to open up at the press conference, sharing that you could feel the love between Elvis and Priscilla as they filmed the movie.

“The most impressive things to me is the scale of this love and the power of this love,” he said. “Even to this day even though he’s not here, when you talk to Priscilla you can still feel the love. It’s true and it’s undying and it’s just beautiful… It’s this tether that ties two people together and I think that’s for eternity.”

Sydney Sweeney embraced the Italian fashion scene at MiuMiu Women’s Tales.

The 25-year-old actress stepped out for the event, which was held during the Venice Days at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival on Sunday (September 3) in Venice, Italy.

Sydney was joined at the event by Emma Corrin, Ever Anderson, Dominique Fishback, Ava DuVernay, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Following the daytime event, the six stars also attended the dinner event held at Fondazione Prada, with Maggie‘s husband, Peter Sarsgaard, as well as Ever‘s parents, Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson, plus Jenna Coleman, Cailee Spaeny, Benecio del Toro, Demi Singleton, and Sadie Sink.

Just the night before, Sydney was also seen at the Armani “One Night In Venice” event.

Priscilla has been granted a very special SAG-AFTRA interim agreement.

The A24 movie, which is based on Priscilla Presley‘s bestselling memoir “Elvis and Me”, will be premiering at the upcoming 2023 Venice Film Festival and both stars – Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny – have been given permission to attend.

It seems there are different opinions about the film Priscilla by those in the late singer’s life.

If you don’t know, the film stars Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla Presley and Jacob Elordi as Elvis Presley. Based on Priscilla‘s own memoir, “Elvis and Me”, Sofia Coppola wrote and directed the feature film. In the memoir, Priscilla talks about meeting Elvis, their marriage, and the factors and issues that led to the couple’s divorce.

Now, both Priscilla, as well as Elvis’ estate, have released very differing statements on the film, which will be released in theaters later this year.

A24 has just released the trailer for Sofia Coppola‘s upcoming film Priscilla.

The film is a biopic on Priscilla Presley and stars Jacob Elordi as Elvis Presley and Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla Presley.

The A24 film is based on Priscilla Presley’s bestselling memoir Elvis and Me.

Sofia Coppola reveals the unseen side of Elvis Presley through the eyes of Priscilla, including their long courtship and turbulent marriage.

“I’ve had her memoir for years and remember reading it a long time ago,” Sofia told Vogue in October 2022. “I was just so interested in Priscilla’s story and her perspective on what it all felt like to grow up as a teenager in Graceland. She was going through all the stages of young womanhood in such an amplified world — kinda similar to Marie Antoinette.”

“The memoir was hard to edit down because there are so many incredible details,” Sofia said.

Priscilla will be released in October 2023.

Priscilla Presley released a statement in February 2023 after taking steps to assume control of her late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley’s estate.

A24 has released the official poster for the upcoming movie Priscilla, starring Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla Presley and Jacob Elordi as Elvis Presley.

The trailer is going to drop on Wednesday (June 21), but for now you can get a first look at the Presleys’ wedding via the movie poster.

Elvis and Priscilla are seen taking their first kiss at their wedding in the new poster. The dress Cailee is wearing looks identical to the one worn in real life by the late rocker’s ex-wife.
