Content creator and Victoria’s Secret ambassador Remi Bader is opening up about managing an eating disorder.

In a TikTok video, the 28-year-old body positive model revealed that she still struggles with binge eating.

Remi explained to her fans that she had a difficult day and “answered that with eating eating eating eating.” She noted, “It’s not that I’m sad. I live a pretty great, happy life.”

“This addiction is the only thing I can go to for comfort,” the influencer explained. “It’s just crazy that in the middle of something that looks so glamorous like Fashion Week where you are spending hundreds of dollars on hair and makeup and outfits and shoes and going to all these events and taking these photos, I am then coming home and sitting myself in food.”

Remi expressed her frustration. “I knew what I was going to do,” she said. “I wanna be alone, I want to eat. I wanna self-sabotage,” she said. “It’s just the weirdest mindset.”

Nevertheless, the social media star is maintaining a positive outlook. “It’s a new day…it happened, it’s over,” she told her followers. “I just want to do things that make me feel good,” she shared.

“It has nothing to do with how I look,” Remi emphasized. “No matter how amazing your life can be, it doesn’t mean these problems can go away super quickly.”

Statement accessories were the name of the game at the 2023 Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park on Saturday (June 3) in Jersey City, New Jersey.

TikTok star Remi Bader sparked a conversation about the trendy “diet” drugs that people are using to lose weight.

By now, you’ve likely seen people talking about using Ozempic – a drug that is commonly used to treat diabetics – to lose weight. One side-effect of the drug is that it creates a feeling of fullness, leading to less eating and helping with weight loss.

However, the increasingly trendy drug isn’t without downsides.

Remi shared that she went on the medication and spoke about her experience on it and what it was like after she stopped taking it.

During an appearance on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast, Remi dissed the way that the drug is being treated as a fad diet at the moment, especially as it is becoming harder for diabetics who actually need the drug to find it.

“I’m, like, annoyed that it’s this trendy thing now,” she explained, noting that she was prescribed it for “actual issues.” She added that she was started on the drug at a doctor’s recommendation after it was approved in 2020.

While she lost weight on the drug, Remi said that it caused problems for her in the aftermath because it worsened her binge eating. Although the drug suppressed her appetite, her appetite returned once she came off it.

“I lost some weight. I didn’t want to be obsessed with being on it long-term, and I was like, ‘I bet the second I go off, I’m going to get starving again,’ and I did,” she explained. “I gained double the weight back.”

“My binging got so much worse, so then I kind of blamed Ozempic.”

In early 2022, Remi revealed that she decided to seek treatment for binge eating.

The event, which celebrated the 150th anniversary of Bloomingdale’s, was held on Friday night (September 9) at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street in New York City.

The ICONS honorees at this year’s party included Ella Emhoff, Evan Mock, Jack Harlow, Moses Sumney, and Ziwe Fumdoh, who can all be seen in the gallery.

Remi Bader is sharing an update with her followers.

On Tuesday (May 17), the 26-year-old TikTok star announced that she would be starting a six-week outpatient program for binge eating.

In her video, Remi shared that she would begin going to a facility on Wednesday and would subsequently attend hours-long sessions there a few days per week.

“I’ll be eating there, I’ll be participating in all their different therapies that they have,” she said. “I’m really hoping that I have positive feedback for you guys where I can really feel better about myself and share everything I’ve learned with all of you.”

The social media star went on to explain how she made the decision to seek treatment.

“The past year and a half, I can’t even explain how happy I am that I’ve gotten to the point where I am, that this is my life and this is my job,” she said. “But the past few months I almost started feeling… that things are getting worse for me. How I feel about myself, my body, my confidence, and obviously a lot of that has to do with my binge eating.”

Remi added that the struggle had “gotten to a point where it’s not getting any better” and that the desire to get help had been on her mind for a while.

“I know you always say I don’t need to make videos every day, but the video part is what makes me the happiest,” she continued. “I don’t know why that is, that through a camera I feel better, but it’s more those feelings that I have about myself when I’m alone with myself. When I’m eating, when I’m getting ready to go somewhere, when I’m looking at myself.”

“I should feel the best when I’m alone, I shouldn’t feel the best just based on what other people are thinking about me and through this app,” she added.

Remi got lots of support from her fans in the comments, including one message from Riverdale star Lili Reinhart: “Thank you for being so transparent about this. Wish more people were like you ❤️please take care.”
