The Richest 'Game of Thrones' Stars Ranked (& How How Do Their Net Worths Compare to Creator George R.R. Martin's?)

Game of Thrones is the sort of industry dominating, pop culture titan that comes around every so often and totally changes the game. And while the characters fought for the Iron Throne, the show made its stars wealthy in real life.

The HBO show brought the world of Westeros to life straight from the pages of George R.R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire novels and became a breakaway hit that fans are still talking about four years after the grand finale.

It’s such a beloved franchise that it expanded with the release of a new spinoff series House of the Dragon, which started in 2022 and was almost instantly renewed for a second season.

The original cast is made up of an incredible group of talented actors. Some of them, especially the youngest stars, came to fame with Game of Thrones and have gone on to find success elsewhere. Take Sophie Turner, for example, who brought Sansa Stark to life and went on to join the X-Men franchise, portraying one of the universe’s most powerful heroes.

Others enjoyed successful careers before joining the series and continue to star in major projects across the globe in 2023.

Who has amassed the largest approximate net worth over the years? We did some digging and put together a ranking from lowest to highest. We asked a second question, too: How does the wealthiest member of the cast compare to George?

Scroll through the slideshow to see a ranking of the wealthiest members of the Game of Thrones cast based on their estimated net worth…

17 Actors Who Wore Prosthetics On Screen & 15 Celeb Men Who Really Went Full Frontal

Lots of hot celebs have bared it all on screen and scenes in TV shows like The White Lotus, Sex/Life, and Obsession have led to discussions surrounding the use of prosthetics or showing the real thing.

While some famous men prefer to keep their birthday suits under wraps with the help of prosthetics, others are not afraid to bare all and showcase their real bodies on screen. This has created a stark contrast between those who choose to cover up and those who are daring enough to reveal all.

Browse through the slideshow for 17 actors who wore prosthetics and 15 stars who really went full frontal…

'Game of Thrones' Star Didn't Like Ed Sheeran's Cameo

Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor on Game of Thrones, wasn’t a fan of Ed Sheeran‘s famous cameo on Game of Thrones.

“I’m not a fan of the cameos in ‘Game of Thrones.’ I don’t like them. I think it’s stupid. I don’t mind going on the record on that. I just think it takes you right out of the world,” he told Huffington Post. “Especially Ed Sheeran. I was like, ‘Why is Ed Sheeran here?’ I mean, Ed Sheeran’s great. He’s a great guy, great musician, but why is he in ‘Game of Thrones’?”

“I’m not saying I’m not a fan of Ed Sheeran. I’m being tactful here, but just not a fan of the cameo. I think most people would agree with me there. It was a big snap to reality. It’s like, ‘What? What?’” he continued.

“It’s a fantasy show. We’re all caught in this amazing world and spend so much time and money and talent to create, and all of a sudden there’s a pop star? What?” he added.

DO YOU AGREE with what Kristian is saying about Ed Sheeran’s cameo??
