After missing her flight from New York to London, Hadley (Haley Lu Richardson) meets Oliver (Ben Hardy) in a chance encounter at the airport that sparks an instant connection. A long night on the plane together passes in the blink of an eye but upon landing at Heathrow, the pair are separated and finding each other in the chaos seems impossible. Will fate intervene to transform these seat mates into soul mates?

The movie is based on the popular novel “The Statistical Probably of Love at First Sight” by Jennifer E. Smith. Also starring in the film are Dexter Fletcher and Sally Phillips.

Jameela Jamil is looking to have a conversation about awards show categories.

The 37-year-old star posed some thoughts to consider about the idea of doing away with gendered awards show categories amid talk of the Academy Awards looking to do so in the future.

“Just asking… Would it not be better to give non binary people their own category rather than open the door for Hollywood to completely shut out women given the known disproportionate amount of men vs women winning at awards shows?” she began in a lengthy post on Instagram.

“If we now have enough non binary talent to restructure entire awards shows, which i GREAT, then we should add rather thar run the accidental risk of erasing no? I say this as an audience member, because I am not t going to be nominated for an Oscar anyway.. obviously lol. I have no horse in this race!”

The 37-year-old Good Place alum revealed in a new interview that she had an audition for a part on Netflix’s hit series, You in season 4.

Speaking in on the Podcrushed podcast, Jameela explained that she pulled out of the audition due to the role’s “sexiness”.

“I don’t do sex scenes,” she stated on the program with host Penn Badgley, who stars in the lead part. “In fact, I was supposed to audition for the most recent season of your show.”

Jameela says that her “character was supposed to be quite sexy, and I pulled out of the audition, because I am so shy about anything sexy that I can’t., and then you f***ing came out and were like, ‘Yeah, I’m not doing sex scenes anymore.’”

She went on, saying that she “didn’t even know that was a boundary that we could draw. But then I was like, I should have gone and done the f***ing show.

Jameela doesn’t just draw that line in her own work, but doesn’t even want to “watch sex scenes in films… Even on my own, I have to fast forward through sex scenes because I’ve become so shy about watching other people.”

Jameela Jamil is taking a stand and voicing her opinion on last night’s Met Gala.

If you don’t remember, last year, after the Met Gala theme was announced, the 37-year-old She-Hulk star explained why she took issue with the choice to honor late designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in February 2019.

Although she noted that he was “supremely talented,” she called him out for using “his platform [in] such a distinctly hateful way, mostly towards women, so repeatedly and up until the last years of his life, showing no remorse, offering no atonement, no apology, no help to groups he attacked.”

Now, she’s issued a new statement, hours after the 2023 Met Gala took place on Monday (May 1).

Jameela posted a statement in a post on her Instagram grid that read, “Last night, Hollywood and fashion said the quiet part out loud when a lot of famous feminists chose to celebrate at the highest level, a man who was so publicly cruel to women, to fat people, to immigrants and to sexual assault survivors. And all the women’s publications, and spectators online, chose to gleefully ignore it.”

She continued, “Suddenly your appetite to find someone’s tweets from when they were 12, has gone. Nobody has perfect morals, least of all me, but Jesus Christ we had a year to course correct here, and not award the highest honor possible to a known bigot…and everyone just decided all of a sudden we can separate the art from the artist when *convenient*. And it’s one rule for us, and another rule for everybody else. Last night we relinquished our right to be taken at all seriously about anything important.”

She added in the caption of the post, “This isn’t about cancel culture. Its not even about Karl. It’s about showing how selective cancel culture is within liberal politics, in the most blatant way so far. It’s about showing why people don’t trust liberals. Because of slippery tactics and double standards like this. And it’s not just Hollywood here, the general public online participated and were entirely complicit in the erasure of the truth last night. They replaced their pitchforks with spoons last night, to lap that sh-t right up…If we carry on like this, don’t be shocked when we lose the next election.”

In the comments section, Jameela also responded to fans asking if she really would have turned down an invite to the Met Gala. She responded that she would not have attended, adding, “I spoke out about all this the day the theme was announced….it’s public record. It went viral last October. I knew exactly what I was doing.”

Jameela has been outspoken about Lagerfeld since his death, and even got into a back and forth with Cara Delevingne after he died.

Natasha Lyonne stuns in a bold red look at the premiere of her new Peacock series, Poker Face.

The 43-year-old actress met up with her co-stars Benjamin Bratt, Dascha Polanco, and Jameela Jamil at the Hollywood Legion Theater on Tuesday (January 17) in Los Angeles, along with Megan Suri, Brandon Micheal Hall, Ron Perlman, Rhea Perlman, Rowan Blanchard, and Clea DuVall.

Director Rian Johnson also joined the cast on the red carpet with executive producer Maya Rudolph.

Other celeb guests at the event included Glass Onion star Kate Hudson and her fiance, Danny Fujikawa, Fred Armisen, and Natasha‘s BFF Amy Poehler.

During an interview at the TCA tour, Rian teased that Poker Face isn’t like his whodunnit movies, but instead a “how to catch ‘em”.

“In every episode, there’s a killing we see and then it’s Natasha versus the guest star,” he shared, via SyFy.

He added that the style and format of the series attracted a lot of the guest stars.

“It means this will be their episode,” Rian shared. “They get the delight of going head-to-head with Natasha’s Charlie, which it makes it worth their while showing up.”

Poker Face will debut on January 26 on Peacock.

During the beginning of her interview, Jennifer asked Jameela how she met boyfriend James Blake.

“Because I became a DJ I was able to meet another DJ at work, we were working at BBC Radio 1. We were real DJs, and also radio DJs,” Jameela shared. “It was very Hollywood meet cute.”

She continued, “There was a mix-up with our rooms that we were supposed to record in, I met him, and now I’ve been living with him and sleeping with him for eight years. That’s what happens when you say ‘yes’ and try things.”

Jameela went on to recall how she randomly started DJing after complaining about the music at a party. She then met a woman who then asked her to perform at a party hosted by Elton the next week.

“I had a week to learn how to DJ and I just about pulled it off and didn’t get sued by Elton John,” Jameela joked, adding that she then had an eight-year DJ career after that.

In another recent interview, Jameela revealed the NSFW injury she suffered while filming She-Hulk!

If you don’t remember, nearly 2 years ago, Black Panther‘s Letitia Wright caused a lot of backlash and controversy when she shared a link to a YouTube video that questioned if everyone should take the COVID-19 vaccine. The video featured a self-proclaimed “prophet” who, at times throughout the video, spread transphobic and homophobic messaging as well.

Now, Letitia is being asked about the incident, which went down in December 2020 and resulted in her eventually responded to the controversy and deleting her account.

During an interview with the Guardian, the Black Panther star said about posting the video, “I feel it’s something I experienced two years ago and I have in a healthy way moved on. And in a healthy way I’ve apologized and deleted my Twitter. I just apologized for any hurt that was caused to anybody.”

She was then asked if the video misrepresented her values, to which she then responded, “That’s exactly what my apology was. It was saying this is not me, and I apologize.”

She was then pressed that the video might have had her fans seeing her as a “transphobic, homophobic anti-vaxxer.” She responded, “twitchily,” “Those are things that I am not and I apologized and I’ve moved on.”

She was finally asked if she was vaccinated, to which she responded, “I have apologized and I have moved on. Next question. Thanks.”

Jameela said, “It’s just it’s an unfathomable amount of s— that you take, Meghan. I can’t believe it. And I fought back on your behalf of years before I’d ever met you because I was so outraged by the twisting of this, very normal, very kind, very civilized woman. She continued, “I’m so sorry you’ve had to withstand it. It has highlighted for us the intense and unkindness and, and bigotry and misogyny of our media. And I, I think and I hope and I feel faith that the tides are changing because so many of us are fighting back.”

Jameela also spoke about what Meghan had been doing privately to support women over the years.

“You have been such a sobering voice of unwavering support to me,” Jameela continued on the podcast. “And people don’t know that you frequently reach out to women who are having a very, very hard time. You reach out to us. You don’t do it publicly. You don’t come to get any glory, but you privately reach out to us in our most lonely and desperate moments. And we need more of that in the world.”

“And so I just I appreciate you and thank you for that, because those are some hairy moments and I needed that guidance,” Jamil added. “So, thanks. Thanks, mate.”

In the new series Bumper in Berlin, several years after we last saw him in Pitch Perfect, Bumper Allen moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs becomes big in Berlin.

The actress laid out her explanation in a post on Instagram and provided examples of his controversial opinions on topics such as the body positivity movement, the #MeToo movement, gay adoption and more.

“Some of his greatest harm was against Muslim refugees, and the disgusting way he spoke about people fleeing their homes for fear of their lives,” she noted.

“Why is THIS who we celebrate when there are so many AMAZING designers out there who aren’t bigoted white men,” Jameela asked. “What happened to everyone’s principles and “advocacy.” You don’t get to stand for justice in these areas, and then attend the celebration of someone who reveled in his own public disdain for marginalized people.”

“This isn’t the 90s,” she wrote in her closing lines. “We didn’t fight all this sh-t just to throw it all away because some white guy made some pretty clothes for people’s skinny faves… come on now.”

“Oh, I did it all! I did it all,” Jameela told ET about filming all of the stunts. “I was hurting in place that I really didn’t know exists.”

She added, Like, you’ll probably have to bleep this out, but I pulled a muscle in my a–hole. I didn’t know that was possible!”

Jameela went on to say that she “jiu jitsu and kung fu and combat in the air” for the role.

“I don’t know how much of it ever gets to make it to the big screen, because CGI is bonkers,” Jameela explained. “But I got to do all my stunts pretty much myself! And that was something I’ve never done before, because I’m the ultimate couch potato. I am just a puddle with bangs.”

Tatiana Maslany is celebrating the imminent launch of her new Marvel series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law!

The 36-year-old Emmy-winning actress walked the red carpet at the premiere with new husband Brendan Hines on Monday (August 15) at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.

Keanu Reeves hit the red carpet for the premiere of his newest film, DC League of Super Pets!

The 57-year-old actor stars in the film alongside Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Vanessa Bayer, and Jameela Jamil, and met up with them along with director Jared Stern at the event held at AMC The Grove 14 on Wednesday night (July 13) in Los Angeles.

In the animated movie, Keanu voices Batman.

Here’s a quick summary: Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.
