Saturday Night Live has featured tons of fantastic guest stars in its nearly 50 year run, but not everyone is welcome back to Studio 8H.

From controversial performers who pulled off something shocking on stage to actors and comedians who had confrontations on and off-screen, there are some stars who have done or said something controversial enough to be banned from hosting or performing on the show ever again.

From Sinead O’Connor to Adrien Brody to Martin Lawrence, a surprising amount of talent has been told not to come back.

'SNL' Sets Tentative Return Date Amid Hollywood Strikes

Saturday Night Live should be coming back soon.

The long-running NBC sketch comedy television series had Season 48 cut short by three episodes when the writers walked out amid the Hollywood strikes at the beginning of May.

The show traditionally returns at the end of September or beginning of October, and is now likely to return on either October 7 or 14, pending a vote by the WGA, via Deadline.

Hillary Clinton Complained to 'Saturday Night Live' Creator Lorne Michaels About One Sketch

Hillary Clinton has been spoofed on Saturday Night Live for years now. She’s even gotten in on the joke before by co-signing Kate McKinnon‘s impersonation of her ahead of the 2016 election.

However, the 75-year-old former Secretary of State hasn’t always been happy with the show. In fact, she once reached out to creator Lorne Michaels to complain about a sketch.

Original 'SNL' Star Jane Curtin Says The Show Wasn't That Funny In The Early Days

Jane Curtin is opening up about her days on Saturday Night Live.

If you don’t know, the 75-year-old actor was one of the original stars of the NBC comedy sketch show, alongside Laraine Newman, John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd, Garrett Morris, and Chevy Chase.

In a new interview, Jane got candid and admitted she didn’t think the show was actually funny then.
