Reba McEntire just made her debut as a coach on The Voice, so you know fans are going to be interested in knowing more about what she’s up to in her personal life these days.
The 68-year-old country singer, who has been married twice before, is currently in a very happy relationship with boyfriend Rex Linn.
Reba and Rex have actually known each other since 1991, but they only started dating in 2020. For those who don’t know, Rex is an actor and he worked with Reba on the movie The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw.
Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman are once again back on screen together in Reba McEntire’s The Hammer on Lifetime.
The two real life best friends previously starred in Reba together, and have also both appeared on Young Sheldon, although they have yet to share a scene.
Rex Linn, Reba’s real boyfriend and who has also appeared in Young Sheldon, also stars in the new movie.
In a new interview, Reba revealed that there are plans for the movie to develop into a franchise.
“You know, it could have been a limited series. It could be a series. It could be movies, because Kim [her character] does have so many great stories to tell,” she shared. “Melissa said several times, ‘Oh, my gosh, we could do this again.’”
Here’s a summary: Kim Wheeler is an outspoken, firecracker lawyer who is appointed Judge of the 5th District of Nevada and is one of the few traveling judges left in America. After the reigning judge passes away under suspicious circumstances, Kim finds herself covering a circuit that stretches between Las Vegas and Reno — a rugged, often desolate area where anything and everything can happen.
With gavel in hand, she lays down the law with a no-nonsense brand of justice, that quickly earns her the nickname “The Hammer.” As the investigation of the former judge’s death heats up, Kim’s sister Kris (Peterman), who runs the local brothel, suddenly becomes the prime suspect, and Kim must work even harder to make certain the appropriate justice is served.
Kay Shioma Metchie will also star in the movie, premiering TONIGHT, January 7, at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.
The couple, who are currently starring on ABC’s Big Sky together, walked the red carpet on Wednesday night (November 9) at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
Reba is set to perform during two different parts of the show this evening. She has a solo performance scheduled and she’ll also join Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood for a tribute to Loretta Lynn.
For those who don’t know, Reba and Rex first met in the 1990s and stayed in touch throughout the years until they finally started dating in January 2020.
Rex is an actor who is known for playing Kevin Wachtell on the TV series Better Call Saul and Sgt. Frank Tripp in the TV series CSI: Miami.

The 66-year-old country music superstar was joined on the red carpet by boyfriend at the 2022 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 27) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
For the red carpet, Reba dazzled in a shimmering emerald green gown while Rex sported a cool all-black suit.
Also joining Reba on the red carpet was Oscar-nominated songwriter Diane Warren, who sported a bright mint-green suit.
